When You Just Don’t Have Time to Plank

I first received cedar wraps as a gift. They work just as well as a cedar plank, but are much smaller and even more versatile.

Directions

  1. Soak wraps in water for at least 10 minutes.

  2. Preheat the grill on medium-high heat.

  3. Bush each salmon fillet with olive oil, then sprinkle with minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Lay a few lemon rings on top of each.

  4. Place each salmon fillet in the center of one of the cedar wraps. Fold the sides of the wrap over the salmon so that it overlaps and secure with butcher’s twine.

  5. Place the packets on the grill and cook 5 to 7 minutes each side.

  6. Remove from heat using tongs and serve immediately.
